We are the founders of McDonald Ranch (http://www.mcdonaldranch.org
), a non-profit organization that teaches life skills to youth through their on-going service work helping homeless animals. Our animal sanctuary accepts domestic as well as livestock animals - from cats through horses.
We run an after school program (including all day on Saturdays) and summer day camp for youth teaching them animal husbandry, leadership, self reliance and responsibility, commitment, team work, goal setting and strategic planning and community service.
With 15 years of service to our community and now in our mid 50’s, our concern has turned to the continuance of this enrichment program as we approach the years in our lives when we will no longer be able to serve our cause in the same capacity as we have in the past.
We are seeking the formation of a committed, professional working board of directors dedicated to helping us pass this program and ranch on to the next generation of youth who will continue to serve our community.
