Network Appliance is looking for an experienced Software Engineer for the
following:
Develop and maintain areas of ONTAP that support the NFS protocol, including the NFS, NLM, and NSM clients and server, RPC and networking infrastructure, and security features related to RPC GSS. Characterize and improve performance and scalability of code under development. Debug kernel software and assist QA engineers in the development of a suite of qualification tests. Debug customer-found issues and help customer support with resolution. Work with technical publications and customer support to develop manuals and procedures for use by customers.
Requirements
Excellent C programming skills and a thorough working understanding in one of network protocols, network file systems, or security protocols required.
Several years experience developing kernel level code is highly preferred.
Excellent communications skills for working with customers and storage partners highly preferred.
Education
BSCS, BSEE, or equivalent with 3+ years of experience minimum. MSCS, MSEE, BS, or equivalent with 6+ years of experience highly desirable.
