Need MCSE/MCDBA for SQL Server & XP Build (financial district)

Title Need MCSE/MCDBA for SQL Server & XP Build (financial district)
Category Books & Magazines : Technical
Created 03/15/06
Description Hi I need an MCDBA/MCSE to build (install, load drivers and apply service packs) to an MS Server 2003 R2 / MS SQL server 2005 and a windows XP workstation on a small DMZ. Both of these machines will be accessed remotely by our development staff. We have the software and hardware. I need some scripting work done on SQL to automate the backup. I also need a small firewall configured for PPTP. This is a 16 hr job MINIMUM but I want to work with someone who is going to handle the installs and all residual issues for a fixed price. Price is subject to negotiation before work begins. Proof of MS certification required. Please send me your detailed technical resume for consideration, along with a DETAILED SCHEDULE of your availability for the next two weeks.

JOB DETAILS:

One Server --

Back up existing DTS packages and SQL database from server. (It is now running eval editions of SQL 2000 and Windows 2003 Enterprise and we want to go to licensed versions of SQL2005 Std and W2003 Std Edition).

Vanilla install of MS Windows Server 2003, and SQL Server 2005. Configure $50 router/firewall for PPTP (yes it supports it.) We should install the admin client for SQL Server 2000 so we can run our DTS packages on this 2005 box. I need a procedure for backing up SQL files to our corporate LAN, which is on a different network. I think this would involve 1) using automatic backup maintenance plan in SQL server, and 2) setting up a procedure whereby someone on the corporate LAN connects to DMZ via PPTP then moves backup file to LAN. (Will need to test and write a procedure memo.) Finally, back up entire system one time with sys state using backup utility. Separate security accounts for backup operator. No domain.

One Client --

Vanilla install of Windows XP, must be accessible via remote desktop connection. No domain. No administrator access to server, just needs SQL 2005 admin client installed.

Thank you.

3/8 Note I am increasing the fee on this to $1600 FIXED FEE because of a lack of response -- please contact me if you have these credentials and want the job.

3/10 Note -- please contact me if you have Server 2003 certification OR SQL 2000 certification OR SQL 2005 certification or XP certificaton, as we may need to break the job up. Thanks.
