Hello Parents,
Thanks for taking a few minutes to read this.
A bit about me...I'm currently finishing graduate school on the East Coast. I'll be returing to San Francisco and would like to find a family to work with this summer. May to August would be ideal, but this is flexible. I'm looking for a live-out position.
I have many years of experience working with school aged children, toddlers, and babies. Though most of my recent experince has been working with toddlers, I have in the past worked at summer camps and coached youth sport teams.
I believe that children learn best by 'doing' and that the summer is a great time to explore new challenges. My idea of the perfect day would be going to the library or a muesum in the morning, stopping by a farmers market on the way home, and picnicing for lunch. The afternoon would involve something active - bike riding, swimming, or tag in the park, and maybe baking cookies before the parents return home.
I'm fun, but also safe and responsbile. I'm a sports medicine professional by education, and so in addition to the standard CPR and First Aid certifications, I have more advanced medical training, should the need arise. I'm a native English speaker, but proficient in French. I have a drivers license and clean record.
If I sound like a person who might work well with your family, please feel free to contact me. I will be in San Francisco from March 22-25th to meet families.
Thank You,
DB
