I would like someone to provide digested information on MySQL replication for master-master and master-slave replication. I will provide you the two servers for you to work on.
Your job is:
1) Install OS and database on the servers.
2) Setup, configure MySQL database for replication in either master-master or master-slave configuration.
2) Populate a sample 10-100GB database into the MySQL.
3) Create a test script for testing master-slave replication.
4) Create a test script for testing master-master replication.
5) Write a report (1-page) and answers the questions we have on your test.
I don't know how much this is worth in term of time and knowledge. I'm going to shoot out a number first and if I don't receive favorable response, I will increase the number. Total compensation is $500.
This short stint can lead to a fulltime or contract work for the company.

What we are looking in this work is for us to know that you're good at digesting information and make sense out of it for us to apply your skill into our production servers. Experience is good but not necessary. If you are motivated and willing to take the effort to read the myriad of information provided, you will be qualified for the work.
