San Lorenzo Baptist Church is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, musically talented person to join our church, lead our congregation in worship and expand the musical programs of our church.

Immediatly
- Lead the worship Sunday mornings, which includes
- Picking the songs
- Working with the secretary to create and proof PowerPoint slides
- Leading the singing
- Leading the congregation in true worship
- Work with the Pastor to enhance the format and structure of the Sunday morning service with music
Over the first few months
- Recruit, hire, find and bring-in various musicians to increase the worship experience with
- Multiple singers
- Multiple different instruments
- Create a long-term plan to start community choirs for adults and children
- Create a long-term plan for Christmas, Easter and other special events for music presentations
- Meet with the Pastor regularly to plan and pray for the church
Our Situation
San Lorenzo Baptist Church is 60 years old this year. Like most older churches, the congregation is older. We need new people of the younger generation to keep our church alive. Music is the best way to attract new people to a church because it is the bridge between emotions and Spirit.
We currently have a concert level pianist who can play most anything and most any style. We also have a drummer. Currently the piansit picks the songs, and I work with the secretary to create the PowerPoint. I am the sole singer on Sunday morning's.
We are looking for someone who is willing to work with us and stay with us as we turn this church around and begin to grow. The salary is based not only based on performance in the job, but also the ability of the church to pay. As the church grows, your salary will increase accordingly. Initially we will pay $1,200.00 a month to pick out the songs and lead the singing. As time goes on, and the worship team grows and community choirs are sponsored, more money will be paid. We have multiple electronic keyboards if those are needed. I am more than willing to answer any questions you may have. We are not looking for someone to come into an already existing program, but someone to create a music and worship program for our church
