| Church of the Resurrection is a growing, family-oriented Episcopal church in Pleasant Hill, and is seeking a Music Director/Minister of Music who can bring a strong knowledge of piano, organ and choral music from classical, contemporary and world/ethnic sources to a church community where music continues to be an integral part of the life of the congregation. In general, responsibilities would include one service each Sunday morning, at which both keyboard music and choir direction would be required, as well as conducting weekly choir rehearsals one weekday evening, September through May, and pre-service rehearsal on Sunday morning. There would also be a need for musical direction choral music conduction for additional special, such as Christmas, during Lent and Holy Week, and at the Easter Vigil. Weddings and funerals would be separately compensated as agreed upon by the parties. This contractual position would allow for interaction with staff members, as well as oversight committees regarding the music program, and the instruments currently used in that program, and would allow for an opportunity to work with the ministry team in the area of general planning and leadership of the music program.
