The Position
We are seeking a MS Access Developer that will be required to monitor, maintain, administer, and provide production support and trouble shooting for Finance MS Access database which is about 800M in size. Administering includes but is not limited to Backup and Recovery, Tuning, change control, access control. Candidate will be required to trouble shoot reporting, data feed, data change needs. Candidate may be required to train on other 3rd party accounting and finance systems as the MS Access integrates with them. Working with 3rd party consultants, the candidate will be responsible for migrating MS Access functions to finance systems and decommission MS Access database.
Skills and Abilities Needed:
• Mid level - MS Access database development and administration.
• Strong communications skills to work with Finance, Accounting and IT teams to accomplish tasks.
• Mid level experience learning, using, administering accounting and finance system packages.
• Good understanding of accounting and finance.
• Strong understanding of database administration and tuning, including enhancing and tuning reports.
• Good understanding of Microsoft products and database.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 1-3 years work experience with small database and accounting/finance.
