The SF based rock band Miggs is looking to permanently fill the lead guitarist spot in the band for the continuation of the 2006 tour starting April 1st.
The band did 125 shows in 76 cities and 24 states in 2005, including being a part of the Virgin College Megatour with the group Cake, all in support of the nationally released CD, insomnia (33rd Street Records). To learn more about Miggs, visit www.miggsband.com or www.myspace.com/miggs
If you or someone you know would fit the band, consider the following PLEASE:
-must be an accomplished lead and rythym guitarist who puts the song first.
-must be able to sing harmonies well. typically singing middle ranged harmonies.
-must be willing to tour: get in a van for weeks at a time. there IS pay. It won't make you rich today.
-must feel a passion for playing MIGGS music and a willingness to learn the music as it is on the CDs before offering variations, which will gladly be considered later
-must look like a person who belongs in THIS band. look at the pictures. Do you fit in with the general look? clothes and hair can change but do you and your friends look at the pictures and say "you would look perfect in this band"! be honest with yourself. do you look too young? Too old? unfortunately this is a visual industry and we care and so does our label, management, publicist and booking agent.
-while we'd prefer a bay area resident, where you live isn't an issue as long as you can be in the Bay Area of CA for rehearsals before a tour.
-there is absolutely NO smoking in the van, hotel rooms or on stage and we don't take smoke stops so if you smoke, figure out how you won't around 3 other guys.
