Provider Administration System, Deltanet, SFO, CA (SEP 04–Till Date)
PAS is one of the major modules in the Optare Suite. The system stores all the Providers Information, rules, network details and their Fee details. The system mainly revolves around entities like Client, Business provider, service provider, service location, patient and claim.
PAS system is developed in NT platform with N tier technology. The client web, which is developed in XML, ASP, JavaScript and this layer, represents the GUI part of the application. The middle tier is developed in VB, which encapsulate the business rules and data access part of the application. There is data provider layer built in the middle tier to suite multiple clients like web based client and VB client. The database is maintained in Microsoft SQL server and stored procedures are used for accessing the tables. Microsoft Transaction Server (MTS) is used for transaction processing and the middle tier resides in MTS and IIS is used for hosting web pages

Alternate ID Generation, Deltanet, SFO, CA (Dec 03 – Aug 04)
An Alternate ID number is a number (randomly generated) in the computer that can be printed on State ID card, instead of social security number (SSN).

Impact analysis, identifying minimal change in the existing application.
Designed an Internet application for user preferences with Alternate ID.
To make Alternate ID for a person unique across state, separate flat database has been created. This involved two-phase commit in the transaction.

HIPAA 270-271, 276-277, 834, Deltanet, SFO, CA (Feb 03 – Nov 03)
270-271 – Eligibility Request and Response
This is a development of a class which will accept 270 (Eligibility request) and will give back 271 (Eligibility Response).
276-277 – Claim Request and Response
This is a development of a class which will accept 276 (Claim request) and will give back 277 (Claim Response).
834 – Benefit Enrollment and Maintenance.
This involves submitting the Eligibility information to OLTP.

Role:
In charge of designing the architecture, deep understanding of HIPAA implementation.
270-271 and 276-277, designed the schema based on the transaction set codes described in the HIPAA implementation guide.
Developed a data access class with an interface, which will bring requested information if the input is valid. Appropriate error message will be thrown directly in the response structure itself.
For 834, developed a class with an interface to convert the 834 structure to internally used XML structure and reused the existing component to do business validation and data access.
Technology: XML, XSD, VB 6, ADO and Oracle 9i.
Benefit to Client: Without converting the existing business logic, the HIPAA Standard data structure is being implemented using interop with the existing COM component. This involves reusing the existing component.
Web Eligibility System, Deltanet, SFO, CA (Sep 02 – Jan 03)
‘Web Eligibility System’ is an Internet form of Eligibility administration system. The COM components, data access layer, business layer and data provider, which is an entry to call other components, resides in MTS. To avoid the risk of direct online submission to OLTP, an intermediate database has been introduced which is called ‘Mailbox’. All the data entered by user will be collected in XML DOM and that string is getting saved in ‘Mailbox’ database. If any of the entry seems to be malicious, this will be identified by the supervisor and rejected. ‘Mailbox’ protects and preserves the OLTP database from corruption.

As there are 5 consecutive screens to get all the enrollment information “IFrames” are used which helps greatly to retain data in the screen itself without populating it back and forth.
Reused the existing component for Business layer and data access layer.

Benefit to Client: This project has been completed ahead of schedule with very few bugs.
CPP.Com and Skillsone.com, Mountain View, CA (Mar 02 – Aug 02)
CPP.com is an online store to buy books and tools of CPP. The website skillsone.com allows people to use the Internet to administer, score and print reports from CPP tools like MBTI. End user whose performance to be monitored or evaluated can use the site Online.cpp.com to take test. Apart from these sites CPP has LAWSON (ERP) used by customer service to process customer orders.
The client web, which is developed in XML, ASP, JavaScript and this layer, represents the GUI part of the application. Lawson 8 ERP Order Entry part is customized based on the customer service requirement. This is done using ASP as the GUI part and AGS (Application Gateway Service) which consists of numerous API’s to perform transactions on the Lawson out of box which resides on a Unix machine.

EAS, Deltanet, SFO, CA (Aug 01 – Feb 02)
‘Eligibility Administration System’ is one of the major projects in Optare Suite. This is a client/server application which includes enrolling members for insurance, allowed coverage option taken by the Group, recording other coverage information, student and disability statuses, supplementary information like citizenship, ethnicity.
- To identify the eligibility and special privileges of student and disabled persons.
- To find out the change of billing address for each subscribing person.
- In case of merging groups the list of enrollees, which needs to transfer, will be taken every month.

Role:
Worked as a Senior Developer in designing the architecture.
Complete control over the XML structure for data transfer, written views for reports, developed the business rules and data access component and managing with MTS for OLTP transaction.

Service007.com, A CRM on the WEB, INDIA (Feb 01 – July 01)
This product is developed for Customer Broadcast.com a company, which tracks and resolves customer’s service request over web. The service is tracked by registering the complaint, service request through web by CBC operator. This call is then routed through intelligent escalation and routing engine to service engineers. This also provides intelligent reports to maximize the efficiency of the service engineers and provide quick resolution to complaints.
