Western Career College, a dynamic, rapidly growing subsidiary of U.S. Education Corporation (www.useducationcorp.com), a leading privately owned, for-profit career college corporation, is seeking a Medical Assisting Instructor for our campus in San Jose.
General Duties
Teach material from approved curriculum in accordance with assigned schedule
Develop daily lesson plans to include a variety of teaching strategies that encourage student involvement in the learning process
Exercise effective classroom management to create a respectful and positive learning environment
Provide assistance to students who require special attention through tutorial assistance to advisement on school regulations, class schedules, etc
Requirements
Associates degree; a Bachelor's degree is preferred
At least 3 years of field experience as a medical assistant, or relevant experience
Proficiency in software applications, such as MediSoft or Medical Office Manager
Proficiency in teaching EKG, phlebotomy, pharmacology injections, and patient care and mobility (vital signs)
Excellent communication skills
