• Designed Screens, Front and Rear Projection Projectors in a cost effective manner

WOLFE ENGINEERING Sunnyvale CA 2005
Mechanical Engineer/Project Engineer for Capital Equipment.
• Designed and retrofitted various components for a DNA writing system for Agilent Tech.

STIHL Inc. Virginia Beach VA 2004
Manufacturing Engineer for Chainsaws and Power Equipement.
Designed production line equipment for various power tools.
• Created automation and fixtures for the manufacturing of chainsaws and blowers using SOLIDWorks, ProE, Autocad.
• Designed electric, fuel delivery, and pneumatic systems for automated equipment on those lines.
• Resolved manufacturing issues for blow and injection molded plastics.
• Created Production Equipment with Machine shops and vendors.

IMMERSION TECHNOLOGIES, San Jose CA, USA 2003
CAD Peripherals Beta Test Engineer
Tested virtual reality peripherals, and their interaction in CATIA V5.11 and V5.10 environments.
• Created parts and assemblies drawings in CATIA V5.10 and V5.11.
• Tested assemblies and parts interactions in relation to virtual reality peripherals.
• Communicated the viability and the problems with the peripherals to the designers.

APPLIED MATERIALS, San Jose CA, USA 2000-2003
Mechanical Engineer III GPS/Sustained Eng./Rapid Response Eng.
Provided mechanical solutions to global field problems for Rapid Thermal Processing (RTP). Worked on creation of solutions for global problems within international and interdisciplinary teams. All of the projects were completed under budget and under time. Examples include
• Increased lifetime of the process parameter’s oxygen sensor on the RTP system 8 times, with an estimated increase in revenue of $10 million.
• Resolved monthly breakages of the quartz window
• Window breakages resolved through detailed tolerance calculations of quartz window breakages, using stress calculations, revising the drawings and redesigning the window and it’s holder.
• Used hand calculations to disprove a FEA model that had been used in the design of the initial window.
• Created machinists blue for high temperature (up to 600C) semiconductor applications to determine the problems of tolerance between quartz and metals.
• Redesigned a heater neck so that the heater would not break due to thermal cycling.
• Created a check valve to stop the explosion of pumps due to Silane deposits in exhaust streams.
• Created and implemented all solutions by creating ECO’s including part numbers and BOM’s

SAN JOSE STATE UNIVERSITY, San Jose CA, USA 1996-2000
Lab Instructor and Technician
Instructed classes and trained instructors in the use, operation and theory of semiconductor equipment. Maintained all machines used in lab.
• Instructed one day, three day and full semester classes. Rated best lab instructor.
• Class covered CVD, PVD, RTP, ion implant, photolithography, etch, LCD’s pumps, 4 point probe profilomitor, and nanometrics.
• Operated, rebuild and maintained Evaporator, Plasma Etcher, Spinners, Scrubber, Fume hoods, and linear flow hoods. No equipment problems while I maintained them.

BMW Munich, Germany 1999
R&D Design Intern
Provided long term solutions in parameterization, a method to automate engineering
• Developed, wrote company policy and solved problems on parameterization.
• Wrote and translated patents and company policy in German and English.
• Designed, detailed and parameterized 3 double clamp fixture (welded and modular)
• Optimized 3 BMW Shuttles and gluing machines for parameterization.
• The parameterization reduced the time to design future factories from months to seconds.

BMW Regensburg, Germany 1997
Design Intern
Created design for the production line of chassis construction of the 3 series.
• Designed Calculated and coordinated prototype of chassis hanger for new 3 series.
• Created production drawings for parts and coordinated their prototyping.
• Was considered the most knowledgeable intern in the history of the group.

Wheelsmith Inc. Palo Alto, CA, USA 1996
