A challenging positioning within Materials Control working with the Senior Inventory Planner to plan: initial spares provisioning, kit development, upgrades, replenishment, and new part ordering for various customers. Manage, plan, replenish and audit on-site consignment locations. Conduct weekly replenishment and monthly audits. Conduct monthly parts stocking meetings with customers as required and provide recommended stocking changes based upon actual and anticipated usage. Work with customer buyers to resolve audit discrepancies, on-time delivery issues and purchase order conflicts.
Monitor and manage engineer change orders to ensure that updated parts are ordered and stocked on-site. Review customer configuration sheets and recommend inventory purchases based on part changes and usage. Collect data, write Discoverer and Merlin reports, prepare Microsoft Access and Excel spreadsheets, and provide data analysis to various requestors. Work with quality department to develop metrics which analyze parts quality issues.
Job Requirements
• BA in Business with minor in either Math/Statistics
• Ability to conceptualize a project and take the project to completion
• Ability to develop and utilize forecasting models
• Willing to travel and be on-call weekends/weeknights
• Excellent interpersonal and customer-relations skills
• Thorough understanding of Supply Chain Management concepts
• Strong Math and Computer Background
• Ability to analyze data and present data in easily understandable presentations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
• Fluency in Japanese (verbal and written) is a plus, but not required
