The Material Handler must be an energetic self starter who can perform the physical and administrative tasks involved in the Shipping, Receiving and Stores departments of the warehouse. The successful candidate must be able to efficiently and accurately distribute materials, parts, supplies and equipment to manufacturing labs and internal departments, as well as process orders for shipment to external customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Prepare Domestic, International and non-standard shipments using a barcode scanner and all pertinent documentation, in addition to tracking package deliveries and reporting discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor and Customer Service.
2. Supply and maintain Raw Material levels for all WIP (Work in Process) locations to ensure cohesiveness of manufacturing operations.
3. Performs weekly cycle counts of Finished Goods as well as daily cycle counts of Raw Materials.
4. Accurate movement of Raw Materials and Finished Goods as required using a barcode scanner.
5. Must be able to work in a temperature controlled environment, stand for long periods of time, operate a pallet jack and electric lift, and lift up to 35lbs.
REQUIREMENTS:
The minimal requirements for this position are a high school diploma or equivalent, plus 2 – 4 years experience in a regulated warehouse environment. Experience working in a Medical Device and/or FDA regulated company preferred. Intermediate level experience with computer inventory database systems, in addition to intermediate level math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division are also required. The ability to follow written procedures with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is essential. Solid interpersonal communication skills with the ability to operate independently as well as part of a team and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization are also required.
