Hi. I am a writer of marketing collateral and web content. This includes feature articles in books, business profiles/“advertorials,” press releases, and research reports, as well. I have collaborated with a number of high-tech organizations, having consulted this year to the training manager of an interoperability networking pioneer. I enjoy performing QA testing and have actively participated in studies in user interface design. I am particularly interested in environmentally sustainable technologies.
Can-Do Attitude
I have made it a practice to offer suggestions to clients beyond what they expect. For example, I generally strive to implement or refine house style guides. I have consulted with some of the world’s leading firms, including editing a high-profile website reflecting my father’s landmark work (see J. Beatty, 1968) for IBM Research. See:

Entrepreneurial
I’ve worked with a number of start-ups over the years. One of my better well known clients (a marketer and serial entrepreneur featured in the Wall Street Journal) once called upon me near midnight to review his business plan; a few days later, Epicentric secured well over $35 million dollars in funding.
Innovative
I once suggested an idea for a software feature to a client (even though it had nothing to do with my role as marketing writer. He liked it well enough to have Engineering get a prototype up and running within the week. I made insightful suggestions in my usability consultations to Omnisky and Epinions, as well. Likewise, I have a lot to offer your organization. I look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Eckhart Beatty
