Marketing Director, Direct Business. Job# NA-603015
GAP INC.
Major Responsibilities:
- Create strategy and lead growth for Gap Inc in the following gift card special markets:
- Corporate Sales (B2B)
- Third Party Channel (sales of gift cards in retail locations outside of Gap Inc. brands)
- Stored Value Cards (bank branded gift cards)
- Identify business opportunities through analyzing sales performance and gathering marketplace information
- Create sales and inventory strategy to support long range growth
- Launch and grow new gift card products (cross-brand gift card) and packaging to capitalize on market opportunities
- Partner with other Business Direct functions (call center, planning) to leverage resources and platforms
- Partner with senior leaders within Gap Inc (brand marketing, finance) to measure and report on program success
- Create policies, business rules and metrics to manage and measure growth
- Provide leadership and partner with GID call center operations to ensure quality results and customer support
- Create a measurable marketing plan to support growth in each channel
- Act as Key Business Owner for Special Markets Gift Cards within Gap Inc.
- Manage and lead existing gift card Account Manager
- Build organization to support business growth
Minimum Qualifications:
- A general manager & self-starter
- Strong Strategic Skills
- Self Driver, needing limited guidance
- Strong business skills; financial analysis, P&L, etc.
- Political Savvy & comfort with senior executives
- Working knowledge of operations functions relating to bulk gift cards sales.
- Expert understanding of the corporate gift card marketplace.
- Proven organizational abilities, problem solving/analytical thinking, and the ability to handle multiple competing priorities.
- Minimum of 8-10 years in a highly competitive and rapidly evolving industry.
- Experience leading/managing a corporate sales function for a major retailer preferred.
- Proven experience in managing business relationships with vendors and clients.
- Demonstrated experience managing/growing a new business/initiative.
- Understanding of the corporate sales business.
- Undergraduate degree required. MBA Preferred.
