MARKETING COORDINATOR

ORGANIZATION PROFILE
Acclaimed as the most beloved and successful Jewish community event in the Bay Area, the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival is the oldest and largest Jewish Film Festival in the world. Now entering its 26th year, SFJFF screens year-round in San Francisco, and during the three-week summer Festival in San Francisco, the East Bay, San Rafael, and on the Peninsula, attracting over 30,000 ticket buyers.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The San Francisco Jewish Film Festival is seeking an experienced Marketing Coordinator to be a part of our 26th Festival staff. The Marketing Coordinator is a four-month, contract position, responsible for coordinating and implementing all marketing efforts from idea phase to execution.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 1 year of experience in marketing/public relations essential;
• Excellent oral and written communications skills;
• Proven success working independently and as part of a team;
• Excellent organizational skills and proven attention to detail;
• Fluency in PC based applications;
• Familiarity with Bay Area film, media and/or Jewish communities desirable.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Under the direction of SFJFF’s marketing strategist, develop unique, innovative and effective marketing campaigns to maximize the Festival’s overall presence and increase ticket sales and Festival attendance;
• Create master calendar for all marketing activities;
• Implement communications messaging plan;
• Contribute to developing and implementing targeted marketing plan directed at teen/20/30 market;
• Conceptualize and execute targeted marketing campaigns for individual Festival programs;
• Coordinate community partnerships, dissemination of marketing materials and free ticket give-aways;
• Work with Program Director and Community Outreach Coordinator to create a targeted community targeted marketing plan for individual films;
• Support Marketing Director with media buys and sponsorships for various marketing components;
• Research and make recommendations about list trades/buys;
• Place Festival Trailer in theatres;
• Develop distribution strategy for catalog and guide.


POSITION TIMEFRAME: End of March through July (uneven work flow; approx 20 hrs/wk)

SALARY: $5,750 Contract Position
