Marketing Communications Manager

Marketing Communications Manager responsibilities:
• Work with RYA leadership to provide support and leadership to all marketing and business development initiatives;
• Lead the firm’s outbound communications in the development of marketing communications;
• Develop and implement communication plans to meet strategic objectives;
• Write, edit, and coordinate the design and production of a variety of communication collateral materials and audience-targeted publications;
• Develop and maintain news media relationships to enhance RYA’s reputation;
• Respond to media inquiries by providing information, and identify story opportunities that match company goals;
• Proactively seek venues to promote RYA’s vision and strategies;
• Write news releases, scripts, presentations, announcements, and other materials;
• Prepare and maintain materials including press kits, case studies, and executive bios;
• Maintain firm’s database in support of outbound mailings and email communications; and
• Organize and complete agendas as well as meeting materials for all marketing meetings.
Education/Skills Required:
• 5 – 8 years relevant and successful experience in Marketing and/or Public Relations;
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, English or another related field;
• Exceptional oral communication, writing, editing, and organizational skills;
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; and
• The ability to work with Illustrator, Photoshop, PowerPoint HTML and Web Authoring software such as FrontPage/Dream Weaver and Flash to create animation and interactive media are a plus.
