Marketing Assistant (Alameda)
ABOUT THE POSITION
We are looking for a Marketing Assistant who will report directly to the General Manager. You will have a chance to learn and grow as well as have an immediate impact on the organization. This is a position where you can see your ideas and suggestions become reality. You should be ready to jump in and take a do-it-yourself approach to projects.
Marketing Assistant Responsibilities:
- Web and email production via content management software, including light HTML.
- Create and implement marketing efforts embedded in ezines, websites, print publications, etc. This includes managing web shopping carts, landing pages, banner ads, paid search ads, print marketing materials, etc.
- Manage and implement direct marketing campaigns in print and online:
- Determine offers and pricing
- Write marketing copy
- Schedule and coordinate production
- Analyze marketing results
We are looking for someone who is:
- Smart (an excellent communicator, particularly in writing, and strong analytically)
- Organized (reliable, and detail- and deadline-oriented)
- Flexible (can work both independently and as part of a larger, virtual team)
- Tech savvy (not afraid to get involved in web production, and to suggest tech developments we should consider)
- Willing to roll-up his/her sleeves and make things happen (a self-starter)
- Looking for personal growth—hungry to learn.
Desired background:
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree or comparable experience
- Experience with direct marketing
- Experience working with a virtual team
Compensation depends on experience (full-time, excellent benefits including medical, dental, 401(k) with employer match, etc.)
