The John Stewart Company has an opening for an experienced maintenance/janitor/grounds person at one of our downtown San Jose properties. This position requires driving between 3 closely spaced properties to perform various duties, so you will need a valid drivers license, insurance, and a dependable car. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary job function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Keeping grounds and common areas clean, sanitary and safe.
* Completing assigned work orders, and miscellaneous repairs.
* Responsible for the upkeep, storage, inventory, of cleaning equipment.
* Perform apartment turnovers related to cleaning.
* Gather and empty trash receptacles, prepare dumpsters for pick-up.
* Cleaning lobby area windows, glass partitions and mirrors.
The nature of this position sometimes requires sustained physical effort, so perspective applicants must be able to lift 50lbs.
