Successful Alternatives for Addiction Counseling Services, Inc. (SAACS, Inc.) is a methadone treatment clinic located in Vallejo, CA.
We are looking for a Part-time/On-call LVN, Nurse or Psychiatric Technician. This individual will work weekends
(Saturday and Sunday 6am - 9:45am) and provide on-call relief for the weekday nurse during scheduled vacations and illness.
SUMMARY OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: The LVN/Psych.Technician/Nurse is generally responsible for maintaining and
dispensing daily or weekly medications to program clients.
GENERAL DUTIES
1. Order and dispense medications to clients daily, weekly, or as recommended by the treating physician.
2. Work collaboratively with staff physicians to implement medication changes, monitor outcome, and ensure medication changes are made as ordered.
3. Conduct telephone conversations with counseling staff, physicians and nurses to discuss clinical status and issues.
4. Report relevant information to the team regarding medication compliance, other client issues and problems regarding medications.
5. Complete documentation of services performed.
6. Supplies client statistical data for data processing/and computer entry accurately and in a timely manner.
7. Administer PPD (tuberculosis) skin tests and single-dose medication in the clinic as ordered by a staff psysician.
8. Other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Licensure in the State of California as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse or Psychiatric Technician.
2) One year experience preferred.
