GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for organizational risk control including management of workers compensation claims, interfacing with claims adjusters; workplace safety and training, bulleting board posters, workplace safety inspections, vendor certificate of insurance program and land lord surveys. Serves as primary contact for stores and controls losses with customer or employee injuries. Provides Company personnel with guidelines and, where appropriate, specific direction to mitigate loss exposure.
GENERAL JOB FUNCTIONS
•Administers policies and procedures;
•Prepares correspondence;
•Fulfills customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction;
•Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals;
•Additional responsibilities, duties, and projects as assigned by supervisor;
•Provides on-going training for corporate department heads for the stores' Management teams;
•Prints and distributes periodic reporting as well as special ad-hoc reports for management;
•Ensure complete confidentiality of employee information;
•Processes inter-departmental mail and files paperwork;
•Prepares accounting accruals and documents;
•Documents and updates procedures;
•Evaluates, analyzes, develops, implements, strategic plans to manage Company exposure and loss risk with workers compensation and all of the Company’s lines of insurance;
•Maintains business continuity planning (BCP) and Emergency Preparedness Plan (EPP);
•Organizes workplace specific safety training for different worksites and for all levels;
•Manages subrogation with malls, stores vendors or others who have damaged Company property;
•Maintains certificates of insurance program for employees and vendors.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
•Bachelor’s degree;
•2+ years of insurance or retail risk management experience;
•Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within particular field;
•Performs variety of specific and complicated tasks;
•Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks simultaneously; to cope with pressure, multiple deadlines, and working under pressure; to work effectively and cooperatively with fellow co-workers.
