I am looking for a riding instructor with a dressage, jumpers or eventing background to work with me and my horse at my home in Novato at least once a week. My horse could also use some training rides. I'd like a trainer with a positive outlook, who will work confidently with my horse without bullying him. I don't have a trailer so I need someone who is willing to come to me. I'm very flexible on the time and day of lessons.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is not currently affiliated with a training barn and is trying to get started, or for someone with a training barn who is looking for additional students during off hours. I'm a married woman in my 30's with a lot of riding experience. I did hunters as a junior including medal classes, with some jumpers a few years ago up to 3'3", and a little novice eventing way back. I need a female trainer who has more experience than me and is tough enough to help me deal with my horse's shenanigans. He's very talented but still very green. I am hoping to show or event this summer, but I need some help to get there.
We live in Novato, about 10 minutes from Riverside Equestrian Center.
