If you answered “Yes” to these questions then you may be the right candidate to lead our Cookin’ the Market program.
Cookin’ the Market is a program of cooking demonstrations in farmers’ markets operated by the Pacific Coast Farmers’ Market Association and at community events. The goal of the demonstrations is to show a diverse audience how quick and easy it is to cook with fresh ingredients, to provide a venue and audience for communicating health and nutrition messages, and to create an activity that draws additional consumers to farmers markets to benefit California’s small family farmers.
The Project Coordinator, working under the direction of PCFMA’s management team, is responsible for developing and managing all aspects of cooking demonstrations at Farmers’ Markets and other community events, and should be prepared to fill any of the roles in the program including chef, driver, event organizer, equipment set-up, fund raiser and speaker. The Project Coordinator will also assist with other community outreach activities as needed.
This is a grant-funded program and the position may be subject to receipt of additional grant funding in future years. This position requires officework in Concord, CA and travel to communities throughout the Bay Area.
