I have experience as an administrator, manager, data processor and business owner and I know how important each person’s duties are in order to come up with a dynamic end product. I am not afraid to take initiative and I am an extremely creative, hard working, high-energy, and very organized person. I have one of those "can do" attitudes towards life and I am a very flexible, reliable, congenial person who is very adept at multi-tasking. I take pride in being able to work with many types of people in many different situations.

My skills as a previous employer myself have enabled me to view employment from both sides of the fence. I have interviewed, trained and sometimes had to let go employees and I understand the of importance of each person’s role in a company.

I have extensive experience in formatting, typing, proofreading, and printing letters, memos, proposals, engineer’s specifications, legal bonds, depositions, title insurance policies and other various forms on the computer using a dictation machine or transcribing from neat or untidy handwriting. I have created and written policies and procedures, menus, job descriptions, brochures, flyers, announcements and radio advertising from scratch. I have also been responsible to double-checking amounts to be used on proposals. I love to type and have a speed of 65 words per minute. I have kept track of plans and specifications pertaining to jobs going out to bid. This means keeping track of plan holders lists, greeting potential bidders, receiving money for plans and specs and answering questions about the bidding process when ask. If I don’t have the answer, I will search until the answer is found in a timely manner, providing very good customer and client relations with the company.

I have used MSWord, WordPerfect, CorelDraw, PhotoShop, Excel, PowerPoint, MicroGraphics, Label Publisher, and Microsoft Publisher. Typing is where I shine with a typing speed of 65 wpm. I love to type!

I have previously answered multi-line telephones, directing calls and answer questions with helpfulness and consideration while being very discretion and confidentiality. I know the importance of getting information correct and I am very conscientious about doing just that. In the past, it has been my responsibility to train new employees in standard office procedures as well as helping others when help was needed to make sure tasks were completed in an efficient and timely manner. My work ethic is very simple: Do the very best at all you do, giving 100% to see that the job gets done well. I know that a good work ethic is very important. I have a lot of passion and caring for everything I do. When presented with a situation that needs resolution, I will work to find the most efficient use of time and money to resolve it.

I also have lots of experience in other areas of working in an office including photocopying and binding specs and bids, labeling and mailing packages, and dating, opening and dispersing all mail received. It has also been my responsibility to inventory and order all supplies and equipment used in the office. I have completely purged and updated product and client files and set up a database to make things easy to find. I have gone into a company and created my own position with all work that the company was unable to complete. I have also been responsible to make sure all fleet cars were serviced and cleaned on a regular basis.

I have made travel arrangements for others including flight arrangements, the rental of cars, and hotel reservations. I have been responsible to sign people up for various seminars or classes as well as conventions and conferences. I have made suggestions for improving the efficiency in which things have been done in the office and I am very conscientious of costs and trying to improve the efficiency of workflow.

I have had the opportunity to represent products at a trade show and especially enjoy exposing people to new and special products that I believe in.

In my spare time, I work on my professional artwork, producing much of my work on greeting and notecards and I am also writing a book.
