invitation to all interested members of the (West) Oakland live/work arts community and neighborhood:
we are interested in building a coalition of artists and neighbors to address our needs in sustainable manners through community-driven solutions. through collaboration and resource-sharing, we hope to analyze needs and craft solutions through team-building, skill-sharing and cooperation. we also want to highlight the unique talents and aesthetics of this multi-cultural urban arts movement, bringing together like-minded folk and fostering interaction and communication between isolated pockets and insular groups. an informal network exists of live/work warehouses and we hope to strenghten ties between ourselves and in our community. we need members for our BOARD OF DIRECTORS and also STAFF to focus on specific program areas. we would like to be a venue through which an array of projects and goals can be achieved, so please feel free to introduce your own in addition to reviewing our current/slightly outdated mission and programs (many of which are in a dormant or changing state):
