I totally haven't flown a kite in like 15 years. One of my friends was down at Manor beach in Pacifica today, and she told me she flew a kite. It's an awesome day out, and I'm stuck inside working all day today and tomorrow. That's not too big of a deal though, because I don't own a kite at the moment anyway. I figure I have a week to a) get one, and b) meet a girl who is also down with a little weekend kite-flying.
The beach is definitely one of my favorite places to be when the weather is nice, even if it's not warm enough for swimming. Hell, even if it's pretty cold it's nice to hang out there. I love when there's a storm building up and the waves are really big, especially if there's a sea wall where you can watch them break. When it's cold, bring a blanket (and preferably a pretty girl), wrap up and get cozy. When it's warm, take your shoes off and walk along where the waves wash up and get your feet wet and sandy. Then drive home barefoot - the clutch pedal feels way cooler with your shoes off.
