Do you make cards for your family and friends, and do they tell you that you should try selling your cards to stores? Are you a photographer or artist who has considered selling greeting cards with your images on them? Have you wanted to produce cards featuring your photography and/or art, but you aren't sure how to get started?
If you answered "Yes!" to any of these questions, then this 3-hour seminar is for you!
"Making and Marketing Greeting Cards" is a seminar taught by a local sales rep with 20 years of experience in the greeting card and gift industry who enjoys sharing her knowledge about the business. Over the years, she has worked closely with many artists to help them bring their card lines to market. She has worked with others to help them develop their lines. The information to be presented is especially geared toward artists looking for ways to supplement their income without investing lots of $$ in expensive print runs.
Topics to be covered include:
-- various methods of card manufacturing
-- finding supplies sources
-- keys to good card design
-- greeting card industry standards and trends
-- marketing and sales
... and more!
Class size will be limited to 15 students, so pre-registration is required. The seminar will take place in downtown Berkeley on Sunday, March 26th, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. The registration fee is $65, and includes a resource booklet containing valuable information about the greeting card industry, and an extensive list of suppliers and other trade resources.
