NEXT BREAKFAST: SUNDAY 3/11 THE TROPIX ON PIEDMONT AVE (CARRIBEAN BRUNCH)
*Group is mostly women so would love to have more male members (not to say new female members are not welcome...)
What:
Lake Merritt Breakfast & Social Club: for men and women 25-35 who live in or around Lake Merritt, Oakland. Have breakfast every week (for the most part) on a weekend morning at a café/restaurant around the Lake or other part of Oakland. Also hangout doing other activities such as films, café conversations, plays, lunch, dinner, night life, hikes, etc. in the East Bay and SF.
When:
Breakfast: Saturday or Sunday mornings around 10:30am. (usually Sundays)
Other events and activities: weekends, weekdays, nights, etc..
Where:
Lake Merritt, Oakland, East Bay, SF...
Why:
For fun of course! To meet, greet and eventually befriend people in same age group and maturity levels (I hope!). Also, post-college, it’s hard to find friends worth a damn. So, here’s my attempt to undo the damage done when the college bubble bursts and we have to make our own way, and friends in the world.
Who:
Single women and men 25-35 who want to meet new people to hang out with and eventually befriend. Looking for interesting (not strange), well-rounded people with good senses of humor (sarcasm is especially welcome!), a little creative (artistically, mentally, whatever) and liberal (not too hippie though)… and of course people who like breakfast…. This isn’t a dating thing so let’s focus people. Singles just have more free social time on their hands. But, if you’re the modern sort who is dating someone (and NOT married) AND doesn’t have to ask his/her partner to scratch his/her own *ss, please feel free to join.
The goal of the club is to have a great big (within reason) pool of (soon-to-be) friends to fish in for fun and conversation...and breakfast, the most important meal of the day…
This is a new group, about a month old, with a good bunch of folks so far...
