Ladies of middle age, searching for a decent man to spend time with, beware! As one of you, I have searched for the last several years for a decent man to either marry, or simply have a relationship with. I am good looking and have dated a whole lot of men. By and large, most of the men I have gone out with really only seem to want one hot night with me. A number of them, between marriages that ended badly, alimony bitterly paid, children lost to them, are damaged beyond recognition. The latest phenomenon that I have discovered are men who try and separate me from my hard earned money. That was a real shock!
I was dating a very good looking, younger man who I was quite taken with. After about a month of seeing him, this incredibly well educated, professional individual comes to me begging for a sizable wad of cash. He said that he’d be evicted from his apartment unless I helped him and swore that he’d pay me back when “my loan comes in.” This is the first time something like this ever happened to me, and I naively believed him. I truly wanted this guy to be my boyfriend.....I wrote him a check. Needless to say, within a few weeks (after asking for even more money that I wouldn’t give him) he picked a fight with me and disappeared. Loan time rolled around and Mr. Wonderful declares (by phone) that he can’t pay me back for a million stupid reasons. Ok, I have learned my lesson; perhaps you will benefit from this story. P.S.
