Kobalt is seeking a new drummer.
Local rockers Kobalt have been in the Bay Area music scene blowing venues out of the water with their clear fusion of alternative, jazz, funk, speed metal and progressive rock for a year now, in support of their debut hit CD "Formation of the Sun." www.cdbaby.com/kobalt
Their tour history includes paid gigs @
Johnny V's (San Jose)
The Blank Club (San Jose)
Britannia Arms (Cupertino)
Blake's on Telegraph (Berkeley)
Hollister Fairgrounds (Hollister)
Mt. Hamilton Grandview Restaurant (San Jose)
Santa Cruz Campgrounds (Santa Cruz)
The Bronco (Santa Clara University)
Reikes Center (Menlo Park)
The alternative rhythm and vocal stylings of frontman David Unger are complimented with driving drum beats by Reno Morella, complicated bass lines through the soul of Patrick De Rosa, and extensive progressive/speed-metal guitar solos by the fingers of Scott Berbick.
Kobalt seeks a drummer with 5+ years of experience, in fields not limited to alternative rock/punk. Jazz experience, funk experience, metal experience, alternative experience, and some fusion would be preferrable. Must be capable of recording to a click track and keeping on beat/timed during shows. Must be down to Earth, open, willing to speak mind immediately, fun, friendly, and most of all, a brother to the band.
