Saul's Restaurant, a west coast Jewish Delicatessen, is looking for a
Assistant Kitchen Manager. Saul's is a 110 seat full service, family owned and operated restaurant, with a busy take out counter. We serve Jewish Delicatessen classics and feature a rotation of seasonal and vernacular specials. We are a Berkeley institution celebrating our 20th year.
The job schedule includes:- Thursday 2-10pm / Friday 3 - 10pm / Saturday 3-10pm / Sunday 2-10pm / Monday 12-10pm
The job description includes:-
Supervision of Kitchen Staff: interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling
and budgeting labor.
Planning & execution of production: online ordering, shift management,weekly specials, Special Events.
Maintaining a computerized recipe database,actual & theoretical food costs. Maintaining vendor relations.
Supervision of appliance maintenance/sanitation BoH.
Bilingual Spanish is an absolute requirement. Do not send resume if you are not fluent.
You have strong analytical skills and are oriented to details.
You have and demonstrate a passion for the culinary arts.
You have basic computer and web browser literacy.
You have a working familiarity in labor, food cost, and sanitation practices or the ability to learn. Good job for someone ready to step up from line work.
