WHO WE ARE
Larkin Street Youth Services (LSYS) was founded in 1984 as a neighborhood effort to divert homeless and runaway youth from prostitution, drug dealing and theft in the Tenderloin/Polk Gulch area of San Francisco.
Through twenty-one programs operating out of eight distinct San Francisco locations, LSYS offers a comprehensive continuum of services designed to respond to youth's immediate, emergency needs, while encouraging them to participate in programs that provide the skills and resources necessary to move beyond street life for good.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary role of the Cook is to provide daily meals to facility youth and support the facility in daily functions. The Cook will also interact with the youth and provide assistance in the allocation of services throughout the program.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to follow established standardized recipes and knowledge of general kitchen conduct
Some knowledge of therapeutic meals desirable
Ability to follow directions and with good planning skills
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma Social Services degree highly desired.
Bi-lingual in English-Spanish preferred
