The East Bay SPCA, is looking for a dedicated and reliable person to fill a recent opening as a Kennel Attendant. This is an ideal position for someone thinking about working with animals or for someone looking for part time employment. This position is in our Oakland Adoption Center off of Hegenberger Road, near the Coliseum.
The main duties of this position include:
- Cleaning Kennels and cat cages
- Feeding dog and puppies, cats and kittens
- Restocking food and supplies, litter, etc
- Doing dishes, laundry and other housecleaning duties
All candidates must be able to handle dogs up to 150 lbs and lift bags of food and supplies up to 60 lbs.
The positions are part time 8 a.m. to noon, five days per week including weekends and holiday and pays $8.10/hour. You must be willing and able to take a pre-employment drug test.
