Civil/Traffic Engineering Firm is seeking a Junior Civil/Traffic Engineer to work on a wide variety of projects at San Francisco office.
Looking for flexible, self starting individual with strong technical skills as well as strong written and verbal communication skills. Civil tasks can range from basic topo surveying to drafting base maps, design/draft grading and drainage plans, street and highway design, and preparation of construction documents. Traffic tasks can range from roadway and intersection capacity analysis through preparation of impact studies and/or traffic signal design.
Position responsibilities include assisting project engineer as needed in the development of traffic circulation and impact studies, preparation of construction ready design documents, and completion of engineering studies.
It is expected that the individual selected will be offered continued growth opportunities commensurate with demonstrated capabilites. The ideal candidate is flexible and self-motivated with a positive approach. A willingness and ability to take on roles of increasing responsibility is critical. The selected candidate must possess an ability to work on multiple jobs simultaneously and plan and prioritize job tasks within specified time frames comfortably and with independent judgment.
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil or Transporation Engineering and should have an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate or the ability to obtain an EIT certificate within six months from date of hire. Expertise in AutoCAD and Land Development Desktop and a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required; 1-3 years of relevant civil engineering experience is a plus.
