Redwood Shores, CA – based Localization Services Company is looking for experienced leaders who can provide project management for the localization of web/software/documentation/help - primarily for Japanese projects. Candidates should have experience delivering projects on schedule while meeting customer specifications on a profitable basis. Candidates should also have proven team building/leadership skills, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and be Customer-focused. An interest in business development is advantageous.
Requirements Include:
Project Quotation/pricing • Review project requirements, come up with pricing and prepare proposal for customer. The project manager is responsible for updating the quotation as necessary throughout the project and tracking /informing the customer of any additional costs.
Project Scheduling • Identify necessary project resources and schedule in conjunction with the Director of Localization Services. The project manager is responsible for organizing the workload for resources and driving/monitoring this throughout the project. • The project manager is responsible for creating the project schedule (with the teams input and agreement) and assigning resources to the project as above.
Communication • Write weekly project status reports and post-project report and distribute to the customer, project team and Localize management. •
Work Environment
This position is based in our Redwood City, CA office. Overnight travel will be infrequent.
Reports To
• Director, Localization Services
Job Requirements
• 5+ years experience in software and/or localization project management.
• Native Japanese speaker
• Strong Technical skills (HTML, XML, MS Office, Trados, other CAT tools)
• Macintosh experience a big plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Education
• BS or BA degree required.
