Responsible for developing a community based game environment site that allows for the integration of multiple third party games, payment processors and standard community features such as IM, message boards, etc.
Requirements/Background
7 Years experience developing/architecting software applications using objected oriented methodology.
Familiar with modeling tools such as Rational Rose and Erwin.
2 to 3 years working as a software architect overseeing and directing the development of J2EE applications.
Experience developing applications using a development methodology such as RUP, Extreme, Agile, Waterfall, etc.
University degree in computer science with emphasis on application design using documented design strategies and methodologies.
5 years experience working in and setting up development groups in a startup environment.
Excellent communication skills to be used in working with marketing and business executives.
Capable of understanding and converting the business principles underlying product specifications into scalable web based applications.
Have demonstrated the ability to architect, build and deliver complex web based applications under pressure with aggressive project goals.Experience integrating applications with third party payment providers such as Verisign. Experience building application using Java and middleware J2EE servers such as Tomcat and Weblogic.
Knowledge of scripting tools such as Perl or PHP helpful but not an absolute requirement.
Experience designing and building database intensive applications. Oracle database applications experience absolutely essential.
Experience building high transaction web applications.
Familiar with data and report centric applications.
Experience working with reporting tools such as Oracle reports and Crystal reports.
Awareness of system level and web network fundamentals.
