We are seeking a talented Computer and Information Technology graduate or majoring in Computer Information Systems (must have completed relevant coursework) for a temporary 3-month assignment thru May 2006. The position may be extended base upon needs.
Under the supervision of the IT Manager, this position administrates the design and development of CCSF’s Intranet and website and assists staff with day-to-day Help Desk request. Primary responsibilities include:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Design, test, update, and maintain the Intranet and Website, so that CCSF information is always in the most current state of presentation.
· Design and develop Intranet on ASP.Net using Visual Studio.Net, Macromedia Studio MX, Photoshop, and other web-related technologies and software.
· Maintain and update professionally developed CCSF Website infrastructure (will go live soon), using Dreamweaver and Photoshop.
· Coordinate with managers and website committee on design, changes, and additions to website and Intranet.
· Assist staff with all facets of Help Desk request using Track-IT.
· Installation and upgrade of PC hardware and software i.e., Windows XP and 2000, Office 2000, etc.
· Coordinate new user computer setup, staff PC relocation, and ergonomic setup.
· Update frequent releases of software security patches and fixes.
· Maintain, track, and organize hardware supply inventory and storage rooms.
· Assist with various project rollouts as requested.
· Other relevant duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be working towards a B.S. Degree in Computer Science or similar discipline.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
· Ability to code HTML, CSS, and XML
· ASP, ASP.Net
· Technical knowledge and experience in Web Design and Development tools including: Visual Studio.Net, Macromedia Studio MX, PhotoShop and JavaScript.
· Knowledge of IIS.
· Knowledge of SQL, a plus.
· Ability to perform PC hardware and software troubleshooting.
· Strong communication skills, multi-tasking skills, and ability to learn independently.
· Must be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision.
· Must be willing to work an occasional flexible work schedule for evenings and weekends, when needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Must be able to bend, stoop and crawl under desks, connect wires, use basic computer tools, use a hand truck, move hardware and work at various workstations.
· Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
· Must be willing to work an occasional flexible work schedule for evening and weekend work.
CLASSIFICATION:
· Temporary, Non-Exempt /Non-Union Member
SALARY:
· Staff Level 7, Step 1, $20.32 per hour
· 37.5 hours/week. Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
This position is grant funded and its duration is based on the continuation of funding.
