Aronson & Associates, Inc. is looking to expand its team of experienced IT professionals responsible for supporting the evolving needs of our small business customers. This position requires a passion for problem solving, understanding of networks, knowledge of multiple operating systems, and the ability to learn new applications and concepts quickly.
Working in a demanding and fast-paced environment, you will need exceptional technical acuity and individual initiative combined with a customer-focused approach. The ideal candidate is goal-oriented, able to handle interrupts while fluidly switching between several projects, and easily communicates highly technical information to non-technical individuals.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
o Install, configure, manage and troubleshoot computer software and hardware, network operating systems, network-based applications and LAN/WAN hardware and software at multiple customer locations.
o Maintain network security, backup and restore user files; monitor network performance.
o Provide first level technical support to users, basic instruction, advice and support to staff in the use of equipment, procedures and software.
o Refer complex problems to higher level technical support.
o Work with consultants, vendors, and system experts to implement systems and troubleshoot problems.
o Use a work-order tracking system to prioritize requests, organize, schedule, and coordinate a variety of activities and projects, maintain helpdesk and inventory records, and track time for billing.
o Write project reports; document software and hardware configurations.
o Keep abreast of new hardware, software and industry trends.
o Participate in rotating 24x7 “on call” schedule with other members of the team.
o Maintain flexibility to resolve critical projects and emergencies to completion.

o Highly professional appearance and good personal hygiene.
Technical skills:
o Advanced knowledge of Microsoft client operating systems
o 3+ years of hands-on experience in Windows Server Administration, Exchange Server, SQL Server, and Terminal Server.
o Blackberry and Goodlink server experience a plus
o Sonicwall firewalls
o Trendmicro CSM for SMB
o In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals
o Understanding of network security aspects, firewalls and VPN.
o Experience supporting remote users, PDA’s and home networks.
o Experience with Linux and/or Apple Macintosh a plus.
Physical Abilities:
o Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
o Ability to bend, stretch, and work on the floor or in tight spaces.
