• Created systems to handle the tracking of large quantities of imports and/or exports. (Fritz Co., Reebok Intl. Ltd. and Converse, Inc.)
o Revamped entire import and export document control process to adhere to U.S. Customs guidelines for Duty Drawback. (Converse, Inc.)
• Initiated and maintained relationships with federal and state government agencies, such as: U.S. Customs, FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration), BATF (U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms) and California ABC (Alcohol and Beverage Control).
o U.S. Customs relations were vital for the free and smooth movement of goods imported.
o Applied for and obtained federal and state liquor licenses for Tinkov.
o Worked closely with the FDA on use of food coloring for and labeling of candy imported by The Import Dept., Inc.
o Worked closely with the BATF and the California ABC to adhere to strict labeling guidelines.
• Duty Drawback at Converse.
o Created a duty drawback program utilizing over 1,000 imports and 500 exports per year.
o Obtained over five million dollars in return of U.S. Customs duty over a five-year period.
• Negotiated for price and service in international and domestic logistics to keep service high and costs low at Tinkov and The Import Dept., Inc.
• Set up two corporations, Tinkov Beer Co., Inc. and The Import Dept., Inc., financially and legally.
o Filed all pertinent documents with state and federal agencies.
o Created an accounting system for each company.
o Set up offices for each company.
o Responsible for payroll.
• Sourced goods domestically and internationally for Tinkov and The Import Dept., Inc. for resale or parts to be made into finished products to be resold.
o Sourced printing companies for six packs, bottle caps and cases, and silk-screening of bottles for Tinkov.
o Sourced brewery in North America to brew Tinkov beer recipe.
o Materials planning for Tinkov of beer, bottles, silk-screening of bottle, caps, six packs and cases.
o Sourced candy from Slovakia and ceramics from Hungary for The Import Dept., Inc.
o Maintained relationships with foreign and domestic vendors to maximize cooperation. Excellent understanding of what it takes to work with foreign nationals. Used these skills in all companies.

• Coordinated the purchase and shipping of products needed for the expansion of Tinkov Brewpub in St. Petersburg, Russia.
