Long established, hi-end interior design firm specializing in residential design looking for a Studio Manager to supervise our design studio.
Responsibilities include:
~Overall timeline of projects.
~Work with Assistant Designers to coordinate and follow up on construction schedules and deliverables.
~Coordinates directly with Senior Designer on overall team scheduling and needs.
~Supervise and direct Assistant Designers on maintenance and execution of project timelines and construction coordination.
~Liaison with Purchasing Department on coordination of project installation.
~Staff training and implemention of policies and procedures.
~Lead weekly project team meetings.
~Co-lead weekly staff meetings.
~Coordinate with Principal Designer and Senior Designer to develop line item budgets and time billing estimates.
~Develop project time allowances for team members, track and monitor time billing for all projects.
~Determines priorities on all projects and generate comprehensvie timelines. Works directly with Principal Designer on balancing project workloads for all design staff.
~General assistance to Operations Manager in locating and hiring process for design studio staff.
~Reports directly to Principal Designer and Managing Principal.
Candidates Must possess:
~Previous experience in an interior design firm or similar experience.
~5-7 years experience working in a management position.
~Proven experience working in and with personnel and human relations issues.
~Organizational, mult-tasking and people skills.
~Computer profiency in: Word, Excel, Microsoft Project and Outlook.
This is a full-time permanent position with excellent benefits and in new offices on Maiden Lane. For this position, hands-on design experience is helpful. This position is NOT a design position and is not to be considered as an "entry" position to our design studio. This is a newly created position and is immediately available.
