JOB SUMMARY:
The Institutional Account Executive position involves regular contact with institutional prospective clients via telephone for the purposes of identifying manager search opportunities, providing updates on our firm and strategies, gathering valuable information for future reference, and building long-term relationships.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Appointment setting for Institutional Outside Sales People (IOSPs)
- Increase team selling efficiency by scheduling appointments for IOSPs
- Meet minimum calling and appointment setting objectives
- Regular contact with prospective clients
- Uncover business opportunities by asking prospective clients about upcoming manager search activity
- Assess prospective clients interest in the firm and our strategies
- Conduct introductory meetings with prospective clients via telephone – explaining how the firm is structured and how our strategies work
- Gather and document valuable, actionable information from prospective clients
- Work with other team members to help maintain and improve consultant relationships
- Work primarily with field consultants (as opposed to research staff) at various consulting firms
- Facilitate contact between prospective clients and investment decision making members of the firm
- Assist in creating and maintaining the Institutional Group mailing list for the periodic distribution of marketing materials
- Fulfill sales support requests from IOSPs
QUALIFICATIONS:- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, or related fields preferred
- Demonstrable experience and success selling investment management services via telephone
- Familiar with capital market systems, products, and industry terminology
- Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Able to write reports and business correspondence
- Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from prospective clients
- Word processing, spreadsheets, E-mail, database software, and contact manager software
- Specific software: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access), Internet Explorer, Onyx
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Courteous and business-like phone manner with excellent listening and probing skills
- Highly motivated and entrepreneurial
