Project Manager: Data Center Builds & Migrations, Server Builds, SAN
Job description:
We are seeking a technical project manager with experience in the design, build, testing, launch and transition to operations processes of large e-commerce based infrastructures. Candidates must possess outstanding organizational and multi-tasking capabilities, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong analytical skills.

Also, what we are specifically looking for is the following:
Infrastructure project management experience i.e. data center builds, SAN Implementations, Oracle upgrades, server builds etc. Primary PM experience should not be application development projects although a mix of infrastructure and application development project management is fine.
Worked with external clients preferably with some consulting/contracting experience (not required) At least 3-5 years of recent project management experience i.e. in the last 5-8 years.
Some exposure to e-commerce/e-business and 3 tier website environments Consistent job titles showing primary responsibilities being project management rather than engineering Detailed oriented Displays enthusiasm and a get it done attitude Able to work nights and weekends when necessary (during specific planned implementations).
Primary Duties
Development of detailed project plans including overall scope of work, schedules, resource allocation requirements, and dependencies.
Prepare and present project status reports for *VP* and *C* level client executives.
Prepare and present weekly status reports for management including project status, timelines, resource requirements (present and expected), and scope issues/resolutions.
Provide overall technical support for both infrastructure design and troubleshooting issues during the build process.
Provide and manage daily tasks list for diverse engineering resources assigned to the project including us, client and 3rd party.
Required Experience
Minimum of 4 years IT infrastructure build Project Management experience required preferably related to the build of large IT based infrastructures at data centers.
Basic knowledge of, and/or experience related to TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls, and Cisco based e-commerce infrastructures components and design
Basic knowledge of, and/or experience related 3-tier e-commerce architectures design and operations including web layer (Apache, I Planet), app layer (Java based applications such as ATG Dynamo, BEA Weblogic), and DB Layer components (Oracle)
Proven ability to effectively communicate technical and project related information to an audience comprised of various skill levels.
An understanding of overall business functions and the impact of technical decisions on business results.
Experience with MS-Project.
