Description This position will be full-time for a start-up operations that will have the potential growth of supporting 600-700 customers. This effort is focused on delivering enterprise wide Internet applications solutions and support to a large physician community in the Peninsula Area of San Francisco. It is close to a start-up environment where everything is being built from the ground up. The strategy is to deliver a full compliment of an enterprise practice management system as well as a fully featured Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to the provider community.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

Assist physician groups to implement electronic solutions, such as practice management systems and electronic medical record systems.

Visit physician practice sites and provide on-site implementation support prior, during, and after Go-Live.

Assist with practice site surveys and acquisition of data.

Work with practice office managers and staff on system implementation.

Conduct system training classes for end users.

Field incoming help requests from end users via both telephone and e-mail in a courteous manner.

Support user access requirements and policy.

Prioritize and schedule problems and escalate problems (when required) to the appropriately defined vendor or person.

Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and frequently asked questions resources on the Internet to aid in problem resolution.

Assure customer satisfaction by insuring network and system access is fast, efficient, and available for all users.

Ensure all application-related client devices are supported.

Ensure client hardware is maintained to system requirements.

Provide client device support to end-users.

Other duties as assigned and/or required.

REQUIRED SKILLS

2+ years of supporting an IT infrastructure in the healthcare environment of business operations as well as an IT organization.

2+ years of experience in the area of software implementation, preferably in the healthcare setting.

2+ years of experience in user training.

Experience with healthcare applications is a plus, specifically the NextGen EMR and/or EPM systems.

A strong understanding of user hardware and functionality.

Ability to communicate problems to appropriate sources and manage issues in a timely manner.

Ability to adhere and follow problem analysis processes and insure the appropriate tools are in place.

The ability to interpret and communicate at all levels of management.
