7/2005 - 12/2005 Shoe Pavilion Pinole CA
Corporate Point of Sale Systems Administrator reporting to the Information Systems Manager. Responsible for supporting remotely over 300 PC Registers systems in over 90 Stores on the west coast. This included hardware, new store setup, software updates and general tech support both on site and remote. The Point of Sale software used is Datavantage’s Store 21 application running on Sybase SQL. The position also required support of the corporate application servers (AS400, Windows 2000/2003, Microsoft Exchange 5.5, Terminal Server. This also included projects assigned by the CFO and I.T. Manager.
• Managed and assisted in the design and implementation of Shoe Pavilions first ever gift card program. Diligently performed this task in under 2 months prior to the 2005 Holiday season.
• Reviewed the Maintenance contracts and saved the company over 18 thousand dollars a year on unnecessary maintenance on printers that were very low cost replacement. Implemented a support and replacement program to defer the maintenance.


10/2003 - 6/2005 ADP Claims Services Group San Ramon CA

Tier 2 Product Specialist, Coaches Group
Promoted to the select group of highly trained and technically able individuals selected to be in this position. The Group of 6 were responsible for support of 25 front line call center technicians, escalated open issues, Quality Assurance, Product Testing, Beta Application Support, New Hire Training and Application Training.

Tier 1 Technical Support. First call contact for support of ADP applications in the claims services group. This included estimating and management software that was written by ADP for Body Shops, Insurance Companies, Auto Recycling Yards and independent Insurance Adjusters. Hired from Contractor to Permanent.

6/2002 - 10/2003 : Self Employed/Consultant Concord/CA

Referred by Tri-Valley Orthopedic Doctors. Managed and implemented the computer setup and office systems of several medical offices. Coordination or installation of LAN's/WAN's, phone systems.


10/2001 – 6/2002 Tri-Valley Orthopedic and Sports Medical Group
Information Technology Manager reporting to the Chief Operations Officer. Responsibilities included supporting the Medical Manager application on a Unix system, with RS232 terminals and several PC’s. Also required merging of the PC with the existing application. This position supported 3 office locations staffed by the physicians.
• Evaluated the practice and researched and recommended a more efficient and modern practice management system that the practice implemented.

1/1993 – 8/2001 Richmond Sanitary Service
Information Systems Manager reporting directly to the CFO and managing partner of the privately owned refuse company. Duties were to provide I.T. services to all locations of all companies owned by the partnership. My direct reports varied from 2 to 3 technicians or programmers. The supported systems were the AS400, NT4 Servers, Netware Server and a host of windows 95/98/2000 client computers. This also required hands on support of the companies main customer service application.
• Linked remote company locations onto a wide area network using Cisco 2600 and 1600 routers. Assisted in the rollout, configuration, routing and remote application installs and support.
• Developed the data integration portion of a lien/levy program that recouped over one million dollars of lost revenue the first year it was implemented, and continues to recover nearly one million dollars annually.
• Wrote small integration applications that provided useful tools that allowed the end users access to shared resources such as visa terminals from their desktops, and other such network resources, prior to off the shelf applications being available.
• Key I.T. person in designing and implementing the computer systems and applications used in the West County Resource Recovery transfer station project in 1995. This was a 17 million dollar project, that hinged on the ability to collect, monitor, allocate, and report the collection of both refuse and recyclable materials for the Integrated Waste Management Act of 1989 (Assembly Bill 939).
