I buy new art supplies. By new I mean “unopened, unused.” I will consider anything made after 1996. A dusty item is okay. A leaky, scruffy-looking, dried-out, clogged-up or highly dented item is not okay. Some examples of what I’m looking for:
• Art supplies you would return to the store if you could find the receipt
• Art supplies for a hobby you vowed to start “someday”
• Art supplies you bought for a class and then didn’t take the class or didn’t like the class
I pay a percentage of the retail price depending on the quality of the item and the demand for it on the market. Do not expect to get what you’d receive if you returned the item to the store where you bought it long ago. I am buying to resell. Art supplies are expensive. Get back some of what you spent and clear out some space in your home, store or studio.
I am looking for Winsor & Newton Artists’ Watercolors, Holbein Artist’s Watercolors, Daniel Smith watercolors, and high-quality paint brushes, sets of colored pencils and markers, as well as pristine-quality watercolor blocks.
One item I am especially looking for is the discontinued bullet-point black Design Art Marker 229-LF.
Will consider stamping, scrapbooking materials.
If you are a craft or art supply retailer, I will buy shelf pulls and manufacturer’s discontinued items. Store closing? Going out of business? Let me look at your inventory. I also buy art instruction books by North Light Books and other publishers, art instruction videos and DVDs by Terry Madden, Gary Jenkins, and others. I will consider Donna Dewberry and Bob Ross items.
No dollar store items, flea market stuff, or junk.
E-mail me with a description of what you have and your location.
