Internet software and marketing company.
Detailed Work Activities:
develop staffing plan
develop and maintain job descriptions
seek out applicants to fill job openings
implement recruiting procedures
develop records management system
establish recruiting procedures
evaluate information from employment interviews
implement employee benefit plans
fill out insurance forms
hire, discharge, transfer, or promote workers
implement employee compensation plans
prepare reports for management
interview job applicants
maintain file of job openings
Tasks include:
Identify staff vacancies and recruit, interview and select applicants.
Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related
data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates.
Analyze and modify compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive
programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
Advise managers on organizational policy matters such as equal employment
opportunity and sexual harassment, and recommend needed changes.
Conduct exit interviews to identify reasons for employee termination.
Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions,
interpreting and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related
problems.
Administer compensation, benefits and performance management systems, and safety
and recreation programs.
The following knowledges are required:
Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection,
training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and
personnel information systems.
Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, and government
regulations.
HR & Staffing experience in the areas of software engineering.
Although not required for the position, the following knowledges are preferred:
HR & Staffing experience in the areas of online travel and Internet marketing.
