This is the HP 4M LaserJet printer. It has been upgraded to 14 mb of memory and has the SIMM for PostScript printing . The "M" in 4M stands for Macintosh which is what the PostScript SIMM was added for specifically, but this works great with Windows and the PostScript capability just gives this printer more useability in the Windows world. The photo shows the HP 4M plus which is slightly different, but this HP 4M has comparable features with the upgraded network card.
Included is a J2552B network card, so you can print to this printer from both Macs and PCs on an ethernet network. It also has a parallel port and a localtalk (older Mac network) port. This printer is a workhorse of a printer designed by HP. The HP 4 and HP 5 both use the same high capacity toner cartridge that produces up to 10,000 printed pages per cartridge.
An in-use toner cartridge is included that prints clear and crisp pages, along with a power cord and a printer cable to connect this printer directly to your computer.It prints at a fast 12 pages per minute and 600 DPI.
Also included in this auction is an HP "Polished Worksheets" Font cartridge for this printer, HP model C2053A #C03 which keeps the following fonts resident in the printer: Letter Gothic, Letter Gothic Bold, Letter Gothic Italic, Prestige Elite, Prestige Elite Bold, Prestige Elite Italic, and Presentation.
