29-year-old female available for long-term house sitting in SF (1+ mos.). Soonest availability is for the month of April.
I am a recent New York transplant currently living in Berkeley. I am employed as an art gallery assistant and at a privately run children's (ages 3-18) ceramics studio as a teacher/technician. Due to the fact that I seem to be house sitting more often than I am at my own home, I'm thinking of going pro!
I have extensive house sitting experience, the longest-term situation being 8 months (Upstate NY). During this period I acted as caretaker for all aspects of the estate in the homeowner's absence. In addition to caring for and maintaining the home, gardens, and grounds, 4 sweet "rescued" dogs were also in my charge. I acted as a liaison with the realtor and stayed until the home had sold, while the homeowner resided in another state.
Locally, I look after 2 homes: a spacious apartment w/ 4 cats, and a business & home w/ 2 dogs (and some koi :), and I occasionally "boat sit" a houseboat in Marin.
I hold 2 degrees, one in Environmental Science and one in Fine Arts. My employment history involves many types of restaurant work (including catering celebrity events in NY), and many types of plant care including florist and greenhouse work, and gardening (most recently caring for the grounds of a castle on an island in Lake George, NY).
I am very responsible, clean, respectful, and detail-oriented. I am excellent with animals & especially love dogs. I would absolutely have an even higher standard of care for your home, pets, plants/ garden, and belongings than I would for my very own.
