The RAMS Broderick St Adult Residential Care Facility is searching for a Home Health Aide. The Home Health Aide provides personal care and homemaking services to clients in a residential setting. The Home Aide conforms to all agency policies and procedures including providing care, compliance with the agency protocols, observing client/family confidentiality, and adhering to agency dress code.
Part-time or Full-time or Per-diem position available.

Educational Level or Equivalent Experience
-Certification: Completion of state-approved Home Health Aide training program and/or successful passing of a competency evaluation program which meets state and federal guidelines;
-Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred;
-Experience: One (1) year experience within the past two (2) years as a Home Health Aide in a long term care facility or home health agency

-Must have demonstrated skills to read and write with the ability to interpret written instructions and effectively communicate to co-workers, other health care team members, and clients;
-Must possess a strong commitment to the goals, mission, and philosophy of the organization;
-Candidate will demonstrate strong clinical care skills, including systematic assessment, planning, evaluation, monitoring, patient/ family education and documentation in accordance with Title 22 requirements;
-Demonstrates service-oriented behaviors in all interactions with patients, members, physicians, staff and visitors, that include culturally sensitive good manners, respect, and polite communications;
-Must possess the disposition and personality to work harmoniously with a wide variety of people and all levels of staff, and interact professionally as a member of a multi-disciplinary team;
-Ability to safely lift &/or move patients on occasion when needed
-Fulfillment of TB Test, fingerprinting, First Aid, CPR, and any other mandatory State/Federal requirements upon hire.
Essential Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
-Provides direct care services for clients according to the plan of care;
-Assistance with ambulation, transfers, range of motion exercises, safe use of equipment and assistive devices (walker, crutches, cane), change of position;
-Assistance with toileting; use of bed pan commode, or urinal, incontinent care;
-Monitor residents’ pulse rate, temperature and respiration;
-Housekeeping and maintenance of client occupied area, such as changing linen, and laundry;
-Emotional support and motivation through conversation, encouragement and recreational activities;
-Assist residents communicate their needs at carious appointments;
-Present and conduct themselves in a professional manner according to agency policy;
-Assist clients with participation in educational programs, events, and recreational activities;
-Assist residents with personal care and personal hygiene practices;
-Attend and participate in staff training, staff meeting, and staff development activities;
-Legibly documents skilled care provided on required forms within specific time frames.
-Other duties as assigned
